Cut off the skin. You want to cut to the flesh, so you can't just peel it.

This is my husband's favorite breakfast! This is one of those traditional recipes that I grew up making alongside my mom, Gama and Nana. Since I've gotten older I've kind of altered it according to how I like my biscuits: fluffy, buttery and moist!

Breakfast scramble is so easy! I was completely inspired by my housemate, Tenea, to make it this morning! She has recently decided to be vegan and has been experimenting with new recipes. The other day she made us a tofu scramble with potatoes and spinach. It was so good even my two year old ate it! He does not venture past things that are made with peanut butter so I was impressed!

The other morning i made these fantastic lemon poppy seed pancakes that I found on Pintrest. They are off of a cute blog called Baking with Blondie.

The only thing I did differently was top them with strawberries and lemon curd instead of syrup.

I wanted to make something really fancy the other morning. This was inspired from a dish at Stanley, a restaurant my husband worked at for a while. It is the brother restaurant to Stella, both are AMAZING restaurants in the Quarter. Stanley has a dish called the Breaux Bridge Benidict. It was to die for. You must go eat it before attempting this recipe!

It is two peices of toasted french bread, grilled boudin patties, two poached eggs topped with the most decadent sauce ever created, hollandaise!

This is one of my favorite breakfasts! I love egg sandwiches!

2 eggs
2 pieces of bread
Cheese, this morning I used smoked Gouda
1/2 an avocado
Butter

Fry the eggs. Lay out the bread. Slice the cheese and put on one piece of bread. Mash up the avocado with a fork and smear it on the other piece. When the eggs are done put them on top of the cheese. Put the sandwich together and butter the bread. Grill the sandwich on both sides. Put it on a plate and cut in half!

I think I've said this before, but my ultimate comfort food is potatoes! I like them cooked any way. This is one of my favorites, with a fried egg on top! Yum!
